So I better admit upfront this post is in no way topical. We have a running joke in our house about the poor quality of disguises on DOOL, especially when it comes to Bo and Hope:
It’s like they’re brand new people!!
So when I discovered the “put at mustache on it” feature in photobucket, well I had to share. Check out some of our fave DOOL characters in Bope-esque disguises:
Harry Potter glasses + a mustache = totally incognito Austin
No one will ever spot Carrie with her eye patch and wax lips!
My mustache says manly man, but my eyelashes and butterfly tattoo show I have a sensitive side.
Glasses make me look smart. That’s a fact!
Rafe has become Reynaud with his frenchie mustache and monocle combo
We’re not sure if this is a disguise or a costume, but anyone who knows Sami wouldn’t suspect it was her, what with the “mom” tattoo.
Austin has been the victim of quite a few tricks over the years. Although really, it’s his own fault for sticking with those Brady girls for, what, 20 years and counting?
Here’s a look back at how he’s been tricked, hornswaggled, conspired against, etc. through the years.
OG/New Austin learns Carrie sabotaged the car so Austin couldn’t get to the fight. Also, he used to be a boxer? Of course he did.
Carrie gets walked in on in this promo from 1999
Little has changed over the years
Both Carrie and Austin fall victim to Sami’s lies, when it’s revealed she got Lexie to tell them their (potential) kids would have severe defects.
EJ and Sami + couches are real trouble for the men Sami is in a committed relationship with
And Sami falls for the old telling lies loudly trick. She gets some uppance, which Mrs. Kiriakis always loves.
One for the old Austin fans where he gets all shirtless and stuff. Because of course he did.
(UPDATE: For those of you who don’t get the reference- I just found out my hubby didn’t- those are lyrics from the Heart song Alone, which is one of my faves. TheOtherDiMera points out it isn’t from the chorus, and is a little obscure, so let’s just say “blah blah blah heart joke Austin’s ridiculous”)
