Alamainiac, aka @IAMBELIZE has created another great LOL Dayz for us. Bo is such a central character, it really annoys me the way they half heartedly wrote him off. It also annoys me the way they ignore his off screen existence. I’m still holding out hope that he (Peter Reckel) is going to work out his contractual differences and sail back into Salem with Shawn and Belle (and Phillip and Mimi- a girl can dream).
Paternity questions have been a part of DOOL as long as we can remember. And the trope has never been as popular as it has been with today’s writers, what with EJ not being Stefano’s son, Nicole pretending that she’s got Rafe’s baby instead of EJ’s, and Sami ranting about how Carrie must really have Rafe’s baby because ME ME ME ME!! And Daniel wants to bone Nicole badly enough that he’ll switch her paternity test results even after he experienced having a son that wasn’t his?
Anyway, here’s a look back at when they only attempted one Maury Povich storyline at any given time.
Like when Sami switched paternity results on Brandon, Abe and Lexie?
Or like that time Gina/Hope did it with John and Stefano…
And we got to decide who the baby daddy was. Except not really at all.
More recently of course, both Chloe and Daniel were duped by Caroline, who switched Chloe’s paternity results …
After she cheated on DanDan with Philip
Stephanie/Ian tried to pull it off via some digital sorcery, and boy was Nathan upset when that happened.
Isn’t it interesting to remember how much screen time these two got so recently, and they aren’t even on the show anymore?
There’s plenty more who’s-your-daddy storylines to highlight, so watch for this theme again!
We had a lot of fun watching the the Daytime Emmys this year!! Days had a few big wins. I was most excited that Chandler Massey took home the Emmy for younger actor!
It was great to see some of his coworkers cheering him on 
Abby and Cameron looking very dapper.
The Days writing team also won for outstanding writing, for the first time since the 1970s.
Lisa Rinna, Kristian Alfonso, and Deidre Hall all presented, as well as the younger actor/actress nomiees (Chandler Massey, Molly Burnett and Shelley Hennig).

Mrs. Kirkakis wanted this week’s subject to be about how Sami never learns anything ever, which is a great idea but would be at least a 10-parter. Instead we take a look back at the last time everyone thought half the town was dead… or, used to think they were dead… or something.
First we take you to Marlena’s funeral. You’d think that, given a second chance to spend time with her mom, that Sami wouldn’t be such a B about it these days. (Then she was sorry again, then she was a B again)

Lexie is dying, they tell us, thanks to an incurable brain tumor caused by some gas she was exposed to underground.

Looooooongtime DOOL fans may know actress Andrea Barber from before that. A role she originated: Carrie Reed.
A Dr. Tom Horton appearance in this video, which also features Josh “Roman Brady” Taylor (playing Det. Chris Kositchek) talking on the phone with Wayne Northrup, who used to play Roman Brady. Whoa.

But things apparently went well for OG Carrie after her run in primetime: She retired from acting, had two kids, went to the same undergrad college as Richard Nixon and lives in England, where she got her master’s degree in women’s studies.
Seems like she had a much easier go of it post-Full House than this guy (NOT SAFE FOR WORK)

They are the only characters my husband remembers from his childhood when his grandmother had DOOL on in the background. Plus there’s all the great hair and outfits. Warning, the following def is very standard
I am sure it will work in no time, and Bo will be back to trying and failing to stop the DiMeras as usual. The walk down memory lane had me thinking, we haven’t had a big wedding (other than Victor and Maggie, who promptly fell of the face of the earth) in a WHILE. I wonder who the next to walk down the aisle will be?
